Judith Belasco to Join Sacred Spaces

I write now, in the midst of Sukkot, to share some exciting news.

After conducting an extensive national search that generated more than 100 applications, we have hired Judith Belasco for the new role of Executive Vice President. Judith will work closely with me, the board and a team of top talent, whom she will recruit, to implement our strategic business plan (due for release later this month), scaling and managing Sacred Spaces as we move beyond our start-up phase.

Judith comes to Sacred Spaces having supported non-profit organizations as they moved from the start-up phase to become flourishing organizations, most recently as the Executive Vice President at Hazon. She brings extensive experience with strategic planning, program expansion, and staff development. As an organizational leader, she has a strong record of both consensus building and developing organizational capacity through operational systems and structures.

Judith is deeply committed to Sacred Spaces’ mission to build healthy Jewish communities by partnering with Jewish institutions to prevent and respond to sexual abuse and other abuses of power. Judith is part of the Wexner Field Fellowship and Selah Leadership Program. She completed the Gender Equity in Hiring training and is currently a JPro WellAdvised Coach.  She lives in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY with her husband and two children.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Judith from the Sacred Spaces community. She will officially join us on December 9th and is excited to be part of our team.

Warmly,

Shira Berkovits, Esq., Ph.D.
President and CEO
